EVD App Notice

When you consent to sharing your data in the EVD App, we will collect your device’s precise location data while the app is in use as well as data that you submit to us related to your delivery (including photos and other user generated content). This data allows us to provide you with delivery locations, to confirm deliveries, respond to delivery inquiries, and to help us enable safe and seamless delivery operations.

Precise location is used to:

• Display customer tank locations
• Optimize delivery routes for delivery precision and efficiency
• Evaluate the safety and security of drivers and our customers
• Respond to safety and security inquiries related to deliveries

EVD App uses various service providers that process personal data on behalf of Ecolab, including cloud providers, to support the EVD App. For more information on our service provider disclosures, please review the “How Does Ecolab Disclose Your Personal Information” section of the Ecolab Privacy Policy.

You can disable location access anytime via your device settings. Please note, this may impact the EVD App’s ability to display delivery locations to you. Turning off location settings does not delete previously collected data or user generated content.

We employ industry-standard security measures designed to protect the security of location data and user generated information collected by or submitted to the EVD App. However, the security of information transmitted through the internet or via a mobile device can never be guaranteed. We are not responsible for any unauthorized interception or interruption of any communications through the internet or for changes or unauthorized access to or losses or unauthorized use of data.

EVD App users are responsible for maintaining the security of any password, user ID or other form of authentication involved in obtaining access to the EVD App. In order to protect you and your information, we may suspend your use of the EVD App pending an investigation, if any breach of security is suspected.

Once you complete a delivery, your trip data (for example, directions from point of origination to the customer delivery site) is deleted with the exception of the data necessary to validate delivery. Data necessary to validate delivery includes the location of the delivery and information that you submit to Ecolab in connection with the delivery and is deleted after our contractual or other legal record keeping obligations expire, unless otherwise required by law.
